The Flyers have brought back a fan favorite tonight by signing former forward Mike Knuble. Knuble played with the Flyers from 05-06-08-09. Knuble was apart of the Deuces Wild line with Peter Forsberg and Simon Gagne. Knuble scored a career high 34 goals in 05-06 and while he never reached that mark again he would continue to be a solid player for the team in the next 3 years. Knuble has played the last 3 seasons with the Washington Capitals putting up point totals of 53,40, and 18 respectively.

Knuble has been brought in to replace Scott Hartnell who will be out 4-8 weeks with a broken foot suffered from a slap shot taken by Kimmo Timonen. Knuble obviously won't be the same player he was back when the Flyers first acquired him but he certainly brings value to this team. Veteran leadership and a big body in front of the net that should create scoring chances. Even though the loss of Hartnell will greatly impact this team, this was in my opinion a quality signing by the Flyers. Welcome back Mike.
