Philadelphia-
Before the game was played, a lot of the media attention had been garnished towards the Schenn brothers. Older brother Luke would be taking on younger brother Brayden in what seemed to be the headliner for the start of the game.
Turns out, it was just a foot note before anything had been played.
As the game progressed, it was league leader Phil Kessel putting his 9th goal of the season passed goalie Sergei Bobrovsky at the 6:11 mark. A few minutes later in what was the scariest moment of the game. After the shot deflection Toronto's Mikhail Grabovski and Chris Pronger scrambled to get the loose puck. In the scrum, Grabovski's stick hits Pronger in the face. Pronger would be hunched over screaming in pain with his hands over his face. He would be escorted by Danny Briere to the bench.
Pronger would not return.
Later in the first, after some pressure from the Leafs, Cluade Giroux hits Jaromir Jagr with a stretch pass to the line, splitting the Leaf defense on the rush. Jagr would get his first goal in the NHL since April 6th, 2008.
In the Second, Danny Briere would make a pass from behind the net; feeding it to Scott Hartnell in the slot. Hartnell would one time it, and notch his first of the year as well.
In the Third, Scott Hartnell would pick up right back where he left off as he gets another pass from Claude Giroux in front of the circle. That would be his second of the game. Not to be outdone, Jagr again would score in 15:15, notching his second of the night as well.
The Flyers would win the game 4-2.
Tune in tomorrow night when the Flyers take on the Montreal Canadiens from the Bell Centre in Montreal.
