Lost in Transition, Flyers lose to Devils 4-3
Philadelphia-Trying to build momentum from the night before with a victory against the Sabres, the Flyers welcomed the divisional rival, the New Jersey Devils.
In the Second, at 2:28 it was rookie Zac Rinaldo who drew first blood. Not only would he give the Flyers a little momentum, he would also net his very first goal in the NHL. Claude Giroux would follow at 8:08, netting his 8th of the season. Not to be outdone, The Devils would follow up with goals from captain, Zach Parise, and rookie Adam Henrique.
In the Third, Maxim Talbot would get a pentalty shot after being pulled down by Devils defenseman Mark Fayne. Talbot would receive a penalty shot, and beat Johan Hedburg. Going five hole. Talbot would make it 3-2 Flyers. The Devils would once again come back, when forward David Clarkson would beat Sergei Bobrovsky, tying the game at 3.
This game would end in a shootout. With Patrik Elias sealing the deal for New Jersey. The Devils would win the shootout 2-1, and the game 4-3.
In Flyers related news: Sabres forward Patrick Kaleta was suspended for 4 games, for his headbutt on Jakub Voracek. The ruling came down yesterday afternoon after a hearing with Brendan Shanahan.
