As of yesterday, it was announced that Flyers Captain, Chris Pronger has had surgery on his left knee. This was his fifth surgery in the last 16 months, for him.

It's been well documented how beat up Pronger has been. Having multiple surgeries on his back, hand, right knee, and foot.

He's listed to be out for a month. This is a huge blow to an already banged up Flyers team, coming into Friday against Anaheim.

This brings questions about how the team will handle Pronger's absence.

They've already called up Marc-Andre Bourdon, and Kevin Marshall(Who was later sent back down to Adirondack to make room for Brayden Schenn) to replace both Pronger and Adreas Lilja.

Lilja, who was placed on the LTIR, and winger Adreas Nodl being placed on waivers and claimed by the Carolina Hurricanes, would give about 4.3 million in cap space, should the team decide to make a move for another player.

Other injury news, Jaromir Jagr who's been sidelined with a groin injury, was skating with the team on Monday. James vanRiemsdyk who's been sidelined with an upper body injury, will likely not be playing against the Ducks Friday night.
