[Virtua Center Flyers Skate Zone - Vorhees, NJ]

This morning a group of Flyers prospects, 41 strong, entered the doors of the Skate Zone prepared to do their best to impress the Flyers brass.

Twitter's exploding every 10 seconds with posts by beat writers LIVE from the rink in Vorhees, NJ trying to get a picture here and an interview there.

Players such as NHL #1 prospect, Brayden Schenn has stopped to feed the crowds a little something, answering a few dozen questions in front of rolling cameras and freshly charged mics. For the next six days these young lads will spill their blood and guts all over the ice and gym beginning at 9am and ending their day at 12:15pm.

"On Friday, July 8, the camp shifts to Stone Harbor, NJ for the annual Trial on the Isle.  The day-long event includes a 10 AM mini-triathlon competition, followed by a Hooked on Hockey youth clinic, an autograph session and a charity softball game." Flyers.Nhl.com

And yes, the Flyers 8th Overall Draft pick, Sean Couturier will be heavily watched by onlookers.

Don't forget about the skyscraping Finnish netminder, Niko Hovinen the Flyers signed as an entry-level free agent back in May. Standing at 6'7", I imagine Niko will put on one hell of a show throughout camp. When he's not stopping pucks in net, I'm sure he'll be standing on his tippy toes to retrieve the roller hockey balls off the roof of the rink for the younger fans playing in the parking lot.

"Other players to keep an eye on will be defenseman Erik Gustafsson, Eric Wellwood, Zac Rinado and Ben Holmstrom, who all received a taste of NHL action with the Flyers during last year’s Atlantic Division Title run." Flyers.Nhl.com

Both Riley Cote and Derian Hatcher will be running the camp schedule on and off the ice, while the ever familiar Ian Laperriere will do his part in handing down experience notes to the zit-covered faces of the up & comers.

So if you [the fan] have some time off or you feel like telling your boss to go screw himself in the next couple days, make sure you take a drive over the bridge, up the street, or hide yourself in a carry-on bag and catch a flight to New Jersey to watch the puppy Bullies take their swing at all things roster related.

"On Thursday there will be a public skating session from 12:30 to 3 p.m. in which selected players will be on the ice with fans at various times throughout the session." Flyers.Nhl.com
